Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. – Psalm 91:3-4

Who is trying to throw a net over you or catch you in a trap? What is it that causes you to be sick and weak, feeble or run down?

All of us will have different answers. We might feel snared by some sin or lured by our past, or as if someone we have wronged is waiting to catch us somehow. We might be deceived by pleasures or money or work, and they look to ambush us. Perhaps some grief or illness has overtaken us, or we are just tired of going through difficult things. It all just seems like too much. That is the point when our Father reaches to us in love and protects us. But more than that, He rescues us. He will save us from whatever it might be that we are facing, and in fact already has.

No matter what deadly dangers appear in front of us, they are small and temporary compared to our Father’s wonderful love and great power. He is dealing with them for us, strengthening us with the promise that He will save us!
