Almost completed

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6

God finishes what He starts. From before we were born and through eternity, God has plans for us. We acknowledge that when we first come to Him in faith, and accept His gift of salvation. At that moment, we are placing our trust in His plan.

What a great plan it is! He brings us into His family. He promises us eternal life. The regrets and guilt of our past is gone. And He begins a work in us to transform us, to make our life one that brings glory to Him and to prepare us for an eternity in heaven. We can be completely confident of this.

When we are discouraged, remember that God finishes what he starts. When we stumble or fall away from Him, remember that God finishes what he starts. If circumstances crush us and make us imagine there is no hope, remember that God finishes what he starts. Even when our day is filled with blessings and joy, remember that God finishes what he starts and increases that joy. Remember what He has started, He has saved us and changed us.

And always, remember what is the finish of His work: eternal life. We are almost completed!
