Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. – Proverbs 3:3
Do you want God’s love to always be with you?
For some reason we are forgetful. Perhaps this goes along with faith in some way. We don’t have constant visible or physical reminders of God’s presence and love. We have to believe and trust.
But one way we can remind ourselves of God’s love is by loving others. When we show compassion to others we are not only meeting their needs, we are also acting on the grace we have received. We are remembering what God has done for us.
We can thank our Father for His faithful love to us. We can read in His word about all He has done for us. We can listen to others share their experiences of God’s working and mercies. But to truly write this onto our hearts, to embed this into who we are, we need to share God’s grace and love with those around us.
The only time God’s love and faithfulness “leaves” us, is when we give it away to others. And the more we give it away, the more it becomes continually present deep within us.
