Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the power to become children of God. — John 1:12
The name of Jesus is powerful!
In the name of Jesus there is healing (Acts 3:6) and power over evil spirits (Acts 16:18). The whole universe and everything in it will worship the name of Jesus, and His name is greater than all other names (Philippians 2:9-10). But the most wonderful thing is that His name brings our salvation and gives us the assurance of eternal life (1 John 5:13).
God knows that we are lacking, and even our ability to believe is feeble. But He tells us it isn’t about the quantity of our faith. In fact, Jesus says our faith can be as small as a mustard seed, something so tiny we can barely see it. All we need is one speck of faith!
Our faith can be tiny, because who we believe in is so vast and magnificent. God makes up for our weakness by His power and strength. The power of faith is not the amount we have, but who we believe in: the Maker of everything.
We the children of God, even though our faith is small. That is power. The name of Jesus!
