Do you ever plan to plan? It is easier to think about doing something than actually doing it. We often act this way about following Jesus. Instead of actually getting up and following Him, we hesitate in order to “figure out how”.
Do you have plans for today? For tomorrow? For next week? What about your five year plan? Self-help books tell us we should set our goals and make plans to attain them. It seems every accomplished person follows well thought plans to achieve their success.
What does the word “heart” mean here? You can answer that by the second part of the passage. Everything we do flows from it — our will, our inner person. What we do comes from who we are inside, our thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Last night a thunderstorm roared through the sky. For me, there are few things we experience that speak more of God’s creative grandeur. Yet in the midst of it I didn’t rush outside and stand under the flashing clouds, lift my hands and ask God to show me His power. Along with thunder and lightening, God has also given us wisdom!
