Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Did you know that every moment of your life and everything you do is useful and worthwhile?
God has made us that way. We are created with important and particular gifts and talents. We are made as individuals, with individual traits and abilities. God’s creativity is boundless, and His imagination is evident in each of lives. There are things that perhaps only we can do.
Unfortunately we often try to deny this. We think we are useless or insignificant. When we fall away from our relationship with God, we see ourselves as just some anonymous person among millions and billions of others. We struggle to make some meaning and purpose to who we are. We become selfish and self-centered, and decide our worth based on how others see us or how we compare ourselves with them.
We need to return to how God sees us. He loves us. We are His children. He has made us for a special and singular reason. Although we are all part of His family, He sees each of us as rare and original! And He has one-of-a-kind work for us to do. Something He has prepared for us that is essential. Yes, the Creator of all things has something essential He made you to do! That is why we give ourselves fully and enthusiastically to His work. It is extraordinarily important. Keep up with your good work, it is for the one who made you. And the rewards at the end are unimaginable. You are here to do God’s work. Take a stand.
