Weary? Naw!

weary naw lettering

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31

Weary. Exhausted. Fatigued. Spent. Beat. Drained. Worn. Weak.

We all have felt overwhelmed by situations. Maybe it is a temptation we are trying to overcome, or a difficult circumstance we are facing. Perhaps it is dealing with our daily routine, our job or family. Sometimes it becomes too much and floods us with feelings of defeat or hopelessness. We want to keep going, we want to do what’s right, but we are just worn out.

God gives us a way we can recover our strength: Hope! When we are exhausted, spent, drained, weak, fatigued is when this hope in Him becomes most powerful, because we realize our inability to finish on our own. He changes our weariness into power, and in doing so also builds up our faith because we are trusting is Him and not ourselves.

Notice it doesn’t say we will never get tired. We will. But God will renew us, He will both restore our strength and increase our faith. Hope in the Lord. Are you weary? Naw!
